Privacy Policy

What you write in Room to Think is yours. Your journal is private. I only see an entry if you choose to share it with me, and you can unshare it any time before we meet. I don't sell your information, and there are no ads.

What the app keeps

  • Your account: your first name, email address, and password. Your password is stored scrambled, so no one can read it, including me.
  • What you write: your answers to the daily questions, which ones you star, and which ones you share with me.
  • Your habits: the habits you add and the days you mark them done.
  • Your place in the year: the day you started, so the app knows which question to show you.
  • Reminders, if you turn them on: the time you picked, your time zone, and a technical address for your phone or browser so the reminder can reach it. Turn reminders off in the You tab and that address is deleted. Reminders show the day's question, never anything you wrote.
  • Your plan: whether you're a coaching client (and when your free year ends) or a subscriber, and the status of your subscription.

Who can see your writing

  • You. Everything you write is visible to you in your journal.
  • Me, only when you choose. If you're a coaching client and you tap "Share with Fabi," I can read that entry before our next session. I can't see entries you haven't shared.
  • A note on honesty: as the person who runs the app, I have administrator access to the database where everything is stored, which I need for maintenance and support. I don't read unshared entries, and I only access the database to keep the app working or when you ask me to (for example, to delete your account).
  • No one else. Your writing is never shared with other users, advertisers, or anyone outside the services below.

Services that help run the app

A few trusted companies make the app work. Each one only handles what it needs to:

  • Supabase stores your account and everything you write, on secure servers in the United States.
  • Netlify hosts the app itself.
  • Stripe handles payments. Your card details go straight to Stripe. Room to Think never sees or stores your card number.
  • Resend sends account emails, like password resets.
  • Google Fonts provides the app's typefaces.

What I don't do

  • I don't sell or rent your information.
  • I don't show ads or use your writing for marketing.
  • I don't use tracking or advertising cookies. The app only saves what it needs in your browser to keep you signed in.

Your choices

  • Unshare any entry you've shared with me, at any time.
  • Cancel a subscription any time from the You tab (Manage payment or cancel).
  • Get a copy or delete everything: write to me at fabi@yourthinkingpartnercoaching.com and I'll send you a copy of your journal or delete your account and everything in it within 30 days. Payment records Stripe is required to keep for tax and legal reasons stay with Stripe.

Age

Room to Think is for adults 18 and older.

Changes

If I change this policy in a way that matters, I'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect.

Terms of Use

By creating an account, you agree to these terms. They're written to be read, so please do.

What Room to Think is (and isn't)

Room to Think is a space for reflection: a daily question, a private journal, and a habit tracker. It isn't therapy, counseling, or medical or mental health care, and it isn't a replacement for them. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call or text 988 (the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the US) or call 911.

Your account

  • You need to be 18 or older to use Room to Think.
  • Please use your real email and keep your password to yourself. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
  • One account per person. Please don't share your login.

Plans and payment

  • Coaching clients get Room to Think free for their first full year with a personal client code. Codes work once, for one person, and can't be transferred. When the free year ends, you can keep going on a paid plan, and everything you've written stays with you.
  • Subscriptions are $5.99 a month or $49 a year. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per person. You won't be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
  • Renewals: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the You tab (Manage payment or cancel). You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • Refunds: payments aren't refundable, but you can cancel any time so you're never charged again.
  • A Thinking Session credit: if you book a Thinking Session with me, what you've paid for Room to Think counts toward its price. On the yearly plan, your full yearly payment counts. On the monthly plan, what you've paid during your first 12 months, counted from the day you signed up, counts.
  • Price changes: if prices change, I'll tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe, under Stripe's own terms.

Your writing

Everything you write belongs to you. You give Room to Think permission only to store it and show it back to you, and to show me the entries you choose to share. See the privacy policy above for how your information is handled.

Using the app kindly

Please use Room to Think for your own personal reflection. Don't try to access anyone else's account or information, interfere with how the app works, or copy the app's questions or design for commercial use.

The app itself

I work to keep Room to Think running smoothly, but I can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. I may improve, change, or pause features over time, and I'll let you know about changes that affect you. The 365 questions, design, and name are the property of Your Thinking Partner Coaching.

Limits of responsibility

Room to Think is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Your Thinking Partner Coaching isn't responsible for indirect losses from using the app, and its total responsibility to you is limited to what you've paid for Room to Think in the past 12 months.

Ending your account

You can ask me to delete your account at any time. I may close an account that breaks these terms, and if that ever happens, I'll refund any unused paid time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Changes and questions

If I update these terms in a way that matters, I'll let you know before the change takes effect. Questions? Write to fabi@yourthinkingpartnercoaching.com.
